Stronger Data Lead to Better Decisions

One focus of our HRIS strengthening program is training decision makers how to use the data provided by their human resource information systems to make better decisions when planning their health workforce and creating human resource policy. In June, the HRIS Strengthening team helped organize and facilitate the first in a series of data for decision making workshops in Kampala, Uganda. The three-day workshop, "Using Data to Make Effective Decisions," presented reports using real data collected in Uganda's iHRIS Qualify system. Twenty-two human resource for health practitioners in Uganda attended the workshop to learn skills, techniques and approaches needed to use data to make better decisions.
