Human Resources Information Systems: Using Health Worker Data to Improve Public Health Supply Chains
Online
Beginning on April 9th, CapacityPlus’s Carl Leitner is moderating a discussion for the International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL) on “Human Resources Information Systems: Using Health Worker Data to Improve Public Health Supply Chains.” Leitner will share his expertise on the topic and give an overview of the iHRIS suite of open source software, focusing on how decision-makers are using data on their health workers to better manage their supply chains. He will explain how specific countries are using the software and describe the impact it is having, with real-life examples. Having a human resources information system can help support evidence-based decision-making on health workforce planning, training needs, qualification requirements, personnel placement, and retention.
To participate in the discussion, join the IAPHL community via Knowledge Gateway.
Carl Leitner, PhD is an open source developer and human resources for health (HRH) informatician at IntraHealth International, working with the CapacityPlus global project. He is passionate about finding context-appropriate solutions and developing local capacity to customize, implement, and maintain software solutions
