Practical Health Workforce Informatics in Low-Resource Settings
iHRIS developer Carl Leitner will discuss various components of routine health workforce information systems employed in low-resource settings, as well as architectural models and standards that allow these systems to interoperate within the larger health information system. He will present the health information system being deployed in Rwanda and will highlight key examples of using health workforce information to analyze and improve health systems. Leitner is one of the main developers for iHRIS, open source software and tools for managing and planning the health workforce. This discussion is part of the Informatics Research Seminar Series sponsored by Duke University in collaboration with UNC-Chapel Hill, NCCU, UNC-Charlotte, and ECU. Visit the series main page for more information. The event will be streamed online and archived.
