New Publication about HRIS!

I am pleased to announce that a new resource about our HRIS work in Uganda is now available! The IntraHealth publication, From Kampala to the Districts: Linking Data, Saving Lives, examines how the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council and the Ministry of Health are using data to support the country's health workers and improve health care in the districts. Many voices from Uganda combine to tell the story, including the voices of two very passionate nurses. The publication is available as a pdf on the IntraHealth website here.

I helped Sarah Dwyer, communications manager for IntraHealth, produce this publication. Andy White, graphic designer for IntraHealth, did a wonderful job with the design. Again, we thank the many wonderful people in Uganda who are dedicated to this work and took the time to meet with us to share their experiences. Also, extra special thanks to Denis Akankunda of the Capacity Project/Uganda team -- he was a tremendous help while we were in Uganda and some of his great still photos are featured in the publication.
