New Materials Available on the iHRIS Implementation Toolkit!
Over recent months we have been gathering input from you, the iHRIS global community, on training and documentation needs. Several requests emerged as priorities from the training and documentation needs survey, community calls, and individual conversations.
Here’s what we heard. Overall the online documentation and implementation toolkit are helpful and are being used as resources. That said, there were a few notable gaps in the existing templates. In particular the most requested recourse was for a user training template slide deck that could be easily tailored for user trainings, data entry trainings, and data use trainings. This is now available on the iHRIS Training Program Materials and User’s Manuals page in one iHRIS training presentation template that is easily downloaded. Trainers can pick and choose from the sections, which include User Roles, Manage People, Search Records, Manage Trainings, and Reports. Other new resources include a customization roadmap template, a data sharing agreement template, and an HRIS Assessment template. We also had multiple requests for SOPs, and so have added an example of Ministry of Health SOPs from Uganda which can be adapted for use.
The other message that rose to the top is that while the content is extensive, it isn’t always easy to find the needed tools or even to know what is available without having to dig deeply into the toolkit. In response, we have developed a Quick Find Resource Guide that lists all the tools and templates in the Implementation Matrix in one place. It mirrors the same structure as the toolkit, so you can cross reference implementation stages (stage 0-Assess through stage 5-Sustain) and the cross-cutting areas to be considered at each step.
